Community groups and charities in the Harborough area are being urged to apply fora share of the proceeds from the hugely successful SwiMarathon last month.
The Rotary Club of Market Harborough event was held at Harborough Leisure Centre on March 7 and 8 and saw nearly 200 people from 36 teams take part.
A tremendous total of £7,000 was raised at the fifth annual event and now local deserving causes are being invited to apply for a share of the spoils, with a maximum grant of £500 available.
Applicants should email swimarathon@rotarymarket
harborough.org.uk or, if email is not possible, post information to The Rotary SwiMarathon, 74 Burnmill Road, Market Harborough, LE16 7JG.
The deadline is midday on Monday, April 27.
Make sure to include the group’s name, contact details and an explanation of how the money will be spent.
Successful applicants will be notified in May.
Grants will be presented at a special presentation evening at Harborough’s Robert Smyth Academy, on Monday, June 8, and someone from each successful group must be able to come and receive the award on that night.
