Air ambulance called after pensioner falls ill

The air ambulance was called to deal with an incident in Little Bowden this afternoon (Wednesday).

The helicopter was scrambled to The Heights, off Kettering Road, at about 12.10pm today.

A spokesman for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance told the Mail: “The air ambulance was called out at 12.10pm to Little Bowden.

”It was a medical emergency involving a lady aged in her 70s.

“She was airlifted to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire at Walsgrave.”
