Real life drama on the stage
The Royal Baccarat Scandal relives one of the greatest Victorian real-life dramas when the Prince of Wales, later to become King Edward VII, became embroiled in a scandal involving members of the aristocracy, an allegation of cheating at an illegal card game and, arguably, the highest profile slander trial of the 19th century.
Based on the book by Nigel Havers and Edward Grayson and dramatised by Royce Ryton, the play will have you on the edge of your seats.
Performances are at 7.45pm each evening and a matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm.
