Leisure centres in Market Harborough and Lutterworth have been closed.

The two popular sports complexes were shut at close of business on Friday March 20.

The Harborough district’s twin leisure and social hubs have sealed their doors to the public as the Government continues to crack down on the coronavirus.

A notice on their websites states: "Following Government guidance, we have closed all of our leisure centres with immediate effect as of 20/03/2020. We wholeheartedly apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and hope that you will stand by us during this difficult time. Our doors will open once again as soon as possible."

The move comes after Market Harborough library and museum has been shut while Lutterworth recycling and household waste site on Moorbarns Lane has closed.
