Photos: Children at Welland Park Pre-School in Harborough take part in a 'graduation on wheels' as they move on to their next academic adventure
'They really went to town and decorated their wheels beautifully and their cards and good wishes were so heartwarming'
Excited children at a Market Harborough school had a wheely great time as they rode off into the sunset.
The 30 or so boys and girls were all smiles as they celebrated leaving Welland Park Pre-School, which has two to four-year-olds, with a special ‘graduation on wheels’.
Delighted mums and dads and other relatives and friends also turned out in big numbers alongside staff to see the thrilled youngsters finish their stint at the Welland Park Road school.
Administrator Sue Powys-Smith said: “We had a fantastic Friday afternoon seeing all the children and cheering them on to their next academic adventure!
“They really went to town and decorated their wheels beautifully and their cards and good wishes were so heartwarming.
“It reinforced the high level of dedication and impact we install in our children’s early educational journey, which is the vital foundation to their future successes.”
Sue added: “Welland Park Pre-School wants to thank all the staff and the families for their unwavering support during these unprecedented times and wish all our school leavers a very happy transition over to 'Big School'.
“We would also like to say that we cannot wait to get back to Pre-School in September to welcome back our children - and give a huge welcome to all the new children starting with us in the autumn term.”
