Video showcases new £8 million commercial hub in Harborough

A new video has been made by Harborough council to showcase a new £8 million commercial hub in Market Harborough.

The official opening event at Harborough Grow-on Centre (HGC), which offers flexible office space to thriving businesses, was unable to take place in May 2020 because of the Covid-19 lockdown.

Instead the council has commissioned a special video which celebrates new opportunities for businesses seeking flexible office space or satellite premises.

You can watch the video and find out more here: www.harborough.gov.uk/grow-on-centreThe Grow-on Centre at Compass Point Business Park, off Northampton Road, Market Harborough, is set to create 230 jobs and plough £20 million into the local economy over the next five years.

“There are very strong signs of economic regrowth in Harborough district, despite the challenges of coronavirus,” said the council.

“HGC has recently welcomed its first new tenant, Krypton IT Solutions.

“And with thanks to Harborough Artists Cluster, we also have unique artworks displayed on internal walls throughout the building.

“Harborough Grow-on Centre has been built to high environmental standards (rated BREEAM Excellent) by Harborough District Council.”

The council pumped in £3,620,612 to fund the ambitious project.

Another £3,282,500 was injected by the European Regional Development Fund and £987,833 from the Business Rates Pool fund managed by the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership.
