There's a window in Lutterworth that has been causing a stir - and bringing smiles to shoppers in the town centre.

And now national judges agree after independent shoe shop Colourful Soles was awarded Window of the Year at the Footwear Industry Awards 2020.

The shop has only been trading since June last year and it is already proving a success, with the beautful window designs throughout the seasons adding the icing on the cake for customers.

Sarah Elliott and Tracey Hodgkinson with their award.

Owners Tracey Hodgkinson and Sarah Elliott are both from corporate backgrounds and wanted to have much more of a work-life balance.

And having both gone through tricky times finding shoes that supported healthy development of feet, they decided that the solution was to start their own business.

Tracey said: "I’m a mum of two wonderful and spirited children, from the minute my daughter was born my perspective on life changed completely. This change in me inspired the opening of our Independent children’s shoe shop in Lutterworth, Colourful Soles.

"Our mission is to support the development of children, support our local economy and community and for me personally I want to be able to read a story to my children, Ella and Thomas every night."

"Colourful Soles is a Children’s shoe shop, inside we are a team who are trained to measure feet and fit shoes correctly. We want shoe shopping for children (and those with them) to be an enjoyable experience and for them to go away with a pair of shoes that fits their individual and unique feet and personality."
