Backed by the Government, the bold initiative to reignite the beleaguered hospitality sector will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout August.
And Harborough MP Neil O’Brien is imploring people across the district to get their teeth into the tempting offer as the country battles to recover amid the shattering Covid-19 crisis.
Neil told the Harborough Mail: “This is a fantastic and imaginative scheme.
“All of us should get out and about to take advantage of it and be given up to a tenner off our meals.”

The Conservative MP added: “We have all had a very tough time during the long coronavirus lockdown.
“It’s high time now to go out and enjoy ourselves.
“We have so many brilliant pubs, restaurants, cafes and pubs all over the region.
“None of us could go out as usual for almost four months.
“So let’s head out now and enjoy ourselves.”
Neil said it was crucial that we do all we can to kickstart our ailing local economy.
“That’s the other side of this coin.
“It’s imperative that we support our first-class local businesses.

“Our independent traders and shopkeepers are struggling through some really tricky times at the moment,” he said.
“It’s difficult for everyone out there on our high streets in Market Harborough, Lutterworth, Kibworth, Broughton Astley and beyond.
“We need to use our shops and eateries right across the board or we will lose them.
“We have to support our entrepreneurs and help protect the jobs of the hundreds of staff that they employ.”

The East Out to Help Out scheme comes as Harborough District Council has fired up a ‘Shop Local’ campaign in a bid to ramp up high street footfall.
Cllr Phil King, who leads the authority, said: “This is a pro-active campaign to help build confidence and get shoppers back into our retail centres.
“As people will have seen, we have introduced a number of measures to create a safe environment for shoppers - and this campaign aims to give businesses an added lift.”
He added: “I really hope people support their local shops and independent traders at this difficult time.
“They need customers now more than ever.”
