Fancy tucking into free fish and chips every week for the next 30 years?

An award-winning East Midlands-based chippie with an outlet in Market Harborough town centre is giving you the chance to land the mouth-watering catch.

The Cod’s Scallops is launching the competition to mark National Fish and Chip Day on Friday June 4.

One lucky customer per shop will find a golden ticket in the bottom of their takeaway box when they order a takeaway that day.

“This golden ticket will entitle the owner to fish and chips for life,” said the Cod’s Scallops, whose restaurant is on Abbey Street, Market Harborough.

“To be in with a chance of winning you must purchase a fish and chip takeaway on National Fish & Chip Day (June 4).

“The lucky winner will find a golden ticket hidden in the bottom of their takeaway box.

“If you find it call the shop you bought your meal from and let us know.

“The winner will receive one takeaway mini fish & chips worth £5 – every week – for 30 years!

“All you have to do is show us your golden ticket to claim your free meal,” said the Cod’s Scallops.

The winning ticket holder will win the right to demolish one mini fish and chips worth £5 every week from June 4 for 30 years – all the way through until Sunday June 4, 2051.
