Clock is ticking for community organisations in Harborough to bid for a slice of £75,000

Time is running out fast if you would like to bid for a slice of £75,000 to improve your community in the Harborough area.

Parish councils, local organisations and village groups can all apply for a lump sum.

But the clock is ticking as you’ll have to submit your application by Friday December 20.

Of the £75,000 available, £65,000 comes from Community Grant Funding with an extra £10,000 from Harborough Lotto.

Successful applicants must show that they are “enabling a healthy, inclusive and engaged community”.

The Community Grant Fund is an inclusive fund, open to all parishes, as well as voluntary and community groups.

Projects must support one or more corporate objectives below:

Prevention of rural isolation

- Supporting arts and culture

- Improving the environment

- Improvements to rural facilities.
