If you’re up for a touch of the dramatic then David Hare’s play Skylight might just be the thing for you.

One winter’s night Tom, a recently widowed restaurateur, visits his young ex-lover in her flat in West Ham, east London, to try to re-kindle their relationship.

But with such different fundamental views will he be successful?

The award-winning compassionate and thoughtful production was first performed in 1995.

Many may remember the National Theatre broadcast with movie star Bill Nighy and Carey Mulligan.

The characters are Tom, Kyra and Edward (Tom’s son).

Ideally Tom is aged about 50 and Kyra 30.

However, casting will depend on age difference and compatibility.

If you have any questions or would like to read a script please contact director Liz Clarke on 01858 525558 or email her at [email protected]

The first audition will be held in the Harlequin Room at 7.30pm on Monday January 6.

The second audition will be in the theatre studio/lounge at 4.30pm on Sunday January 12.

They are open to anyone.

But if you become involved with a production in any capacity you will need to become a member of Market Harborough Drama Society.
