Can you help put lightning into Grease performance?

A musical theatre group wants to find a 1960s American car for a photo shoot to promote its upcoming production of Grease.

The photographs will be takebtaken for use in programmes and forthcoming publicity of the show being put on by Market Harborough Musical Theatre.

The photo call in which it is hoped the car will be used will be done towards the end of February or the beginning of March.

Chris Prior, of the group, said: “It would be brilliant for the Burger Palace Boys (T-birds) Danny, Kenickie, Doody, Roger and Sonny along with Sandy and the Pink Ladies, Rizzo, Frenchy, Marty and Jan, to get the feel of a genuine ‘Greased Lightning’.

“I must add that we will not be racing the car as it is in the film.”

People prepared to allow their car to be used should call Chris on 01858 462321.

Grease is to be performed at Welland Park Academy between April 9 and April 12.

Tickets are now on sale online at Tickets can also be bought from The Sugar Loaf from March 1.

Prices are £10 for April 9 and for the matinee April 12 and £12 for all other performances.
