A cabaret artist is bringing a little bit of New York City magic to Market Harborough.
David Meulemans will be at Harborough Theatre on Friday July 1 with a brand new show entitled Journeys of the Heart: the song book of David Kent.
“This is a great honour and I’m very excited,” said local writer David Kent.
“There will be some old favourites of mine as well as some brand spanking new songs.”
David Kent is well known to Harborough audiences, having appeared at the Harborough Theatre in Uglies do Harborough and Heroes and Villains and several successful seasons of cabarets at The Angel Hotel.
David Meulemans is artist in residence at The Metropolitan Room, New York. Furthermore, this collaborative project sees Broadway actress Sally Mayes keeping a watchful eye over the proceedings as director and acclaimed London musical director Simon Sharp accompanying on piano.
This show mixes hilarity and musical storytelling with David Kent going on to the stage.
The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets for the event cost £12 for adults and £10 for concessions.
