A TRANSATLANTIC rock ‘n’ roll fundraising tour for Parkinson’s disease is coming to Harborough on Saturday, November 24.

The gig will be the only date in England outside of London and will be held at the Robert Smyth Academy.

It is part of the international Light of Day phenomena, backed by Bruce Springsteen, which raises funds for research and treatment of Parkinson’s disease.

Jointly headlining the Harborough event is Joe D’Urso, a founder of Light of Day who helps organise the shows.

Also on the Harborough bill is Garland Jeffreys – New York-based singer/songwriter and regular Light of Day supporter who played with Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band at their appearance at the PinkPop festival in May this year.

Joining the bill in Harborough for the second time are the Countesthorpe born and bred James Maddock, who now lives in New York City, and Israel Nash Gripka from Missouri.

The Harborough concert is at 7.30pm at Robert Smyth Academy in Harborough.

Tickets cost £15 or £18 on the door. Go to www.wegottickets.com and search for Light of Day England.
