A MYSTIFIED Harborough woman witnessed a strange light show in the skies above the town on Saturday night (February 24, 2007).
Kay Knight, of Shropshire Close, said she saw three lights in the night sky late in the evening as she and her husband Robert were driving to Harborough from East Farndon.

Mrs Knight said: "It was about 11.30pm and we were travelling home along Fa
rndon Road when two lights appeared on the left hand side. Then a third one appeared and they moved quite quickly towards the north-east. It seemed like three separate craft – the lights were yellowish but not like anything I'd seen before.

"At first I thought they were the lights at the top of very high masts but there are none in that direction. When they moved they weren't drifting – they were definitely being propelled by something."

Mrs Knight travelled towards Welland Park Road where she said she saw a police helicopter in the sky and other witnesses getting out of their cars to look at the UFOs before they travelled out of sight, heading in a northerly direction.

Mrs Knight and her husband returned home where they saw another similar light from their living room window before that also disappeared.

She said: "My husband and I were joking with each other, saying Harborough was being invaded. I would just be interested to hear if anyone else saw the lights or knows what they were."
