Town club’s new football stand dedicated to memory of Craig

A FOOTBALL club has dedicated its new stand to the memory of a Harborough man who died last year.

The 50-seater stand at Harborough Town Football Club has been named after Craig Robinson, after a football tournament held last year in his memory raised £4,000 to help build it.

Craig’s brother Glenn, cousin Ashley Robinson and grandmother Midge Capell opened the stand following the second Craig Robinson Memorial tournament, held at the Northampton Road club on Sunday, August 26.

The tournament this year was once again supported by family and friends and raised a further £650 toward building another stand. This year’s winners were Clipston, who beat the Robinson team in a penalty shootout.

The family thanked everyone who supported, played or contributed to the event, especially Ashley, who worked hard to organise the tournament.
