Say hello to our torchbearers

PROFILES for the torchbearers who will carry the Olympic flame through Harborough this summer have been published.

Six people will carry the torch through the town on Monday, July 2, with a further ten selected to take it through Dingley, Lubenham, Foxton and Kibworth.

Two of the bearers from Harborough – Rob Gomez and Dean Barnett – will be well-known to regular Mail readers as stalwarts of Bowden Cricket Club and Welland Valley Cycling Club respectively.

But new profiles and photos posted on the London Olympic Games website this week have revealed details of some of the others who will carry the flame through our district.
