League’s top ref is man in the middle at presentation night
Jon Mitchell receives his player of the year awards from guest of honour, United Counties League player of the year Ellis Clark.
DESBOROUGH Town FC staged their end-of-season presentation night in their new clubhouse.
And the United Counties League’s Referee of the Year, Ellis Clark, presented the awards.
The main winner was Jon Mitchell, who claimed a hat-trick of awards, collecting the first team supporters’, players’ and managers’ player of the year prizes.
Kevin Byrne took the John Robinson Cup as leading scorer.
Ben Williams won the Clive Buckby Shield for Aptitude and Endeavour, and shared the Young Player of the Year prize with fellow full-back Ryan Morgan.

The supporters’ and managers’ award for the reserve team went to Marco Giacobbe, while the players’ award went to Tom Redding.
Jay Arnold and Scott McDevitt shared the leading goalscorer award.
