A GROUP of golfers from Ullesthorpe GC will surely have fewer busier days than last Thursday.

Captain Pete Towers, lady captain Carol Doyle and a couple of colleagues took on the ‘Four Club Challenge’ on the longest day of the year in aid of charity.

They played a round of golf at four different clubs in the area – starting at 5am at Whetstone.

They then moved to Kirby Muxloe GC for the second round, Lutterworth GC for the third and back to their own club Ullesthorpe for the final round.

Joining the captains were Bill Leithead and Alison Horak.

On average each round, with a four-ball better-ball format, was completed in about three-and-a-half hours and the group arrived at Ullesthorpe at 6.30 pm for the last round.
