Key county cup quest
for Athletic
LUTTERWORTH Athletic will be looking to close in on more silverware next week.
On Tuesday, April 3 (7.15pm) they take on Ibstock from the East Midlands League in the semi-finals of the county cup at Holmes Park, Whetstone.
Prior to that, on Saturday, Leicestershire Senior League Athletic will resume their promotion bid with a home match at Hall Park against Stapenhill.
Athletic had no first team game last weekend but the reserves clearly enjoyed taking centre stage – winning 7-0 away to Ashby Ivanhoe in division one of the Leicestershire Combination.
Lutterworth Town took maximum points from their latest Senior League division one encounter, beating Asfordby Amateurs 2-1 at home.
