New date for Fernie races
THE postponed Fernie point-to-point meeting at Dingley racecourse has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 2, with the first race due to start a 2pm.
Course spokesman Emily Hayward said: “With some improved weather conditions, we hope that it will be a great way for everyone to kick off the special extended Queen’s Diamond Jubilee weekend.
“What could be better than a picnic and some drinks with family and friends at Dingley on the first day of the weekend, watching what should be some good competitive racing.
“We are immensely grateful to everyone who has been so helpful and supportive in the last few days – and not least all of our very loyal and generous helpers, sponsors and advertisers. Please support them as much as you can.”
