Bowler Connor earns county call-up at 16

A TEENAGE bowler from Desborough has become one of the youngest players ever to represent Northamptonshire.

The county’s men travelled to take on Suffolk at the weekend in the big Middleton Cup inter-county competition, with 16-year-old Connor Cinato’s call-up being the highlight.

And the Desborough youngster helped Northants to a 116 shots to 106 win in their group three (east) match.

The county go on to face neighbours Leicestershire in their next group fixture this Saturday.
