Runners sought for Stanford run
STANFORD Hall, the picturesque country estate near Swinford, will be hosting running and cycling events on the weekend of March 23.
Just Racing, a sports events management company, is organising the event, which is brand new for 2013.
As well as a half marathon, which will take competitors through the hall grounds and into surrounding villages, there are various duathlons for adults and children.
The distance and difficulty of these duathlons are determined by age groups; the adult one involves 15km running and 40km cycling, while the nine to 10 age group will run 1.6km and cycle 2km.
The beautiful grounds and quiet, country setting will offer a unique experience for runners and spectators alike.
