A HIT PARADE

LEAGUE newcomers Lutterworth Ladies have taken their division by storm.

The team were entered into the third division of the Market Harborough and District Ladies’ Rounders League for the new season – and they are already perched proudly at the top of the table.

The over-subscribed team, based at Lutterworth High School playing fields, embarked on their first league game after just a few training sessions.

To date they have played five league games – and won all of them.

Lutterworth Ladies have chalked up some outstanding victories, including last week’s triumph against The Royalists, finally winning by 37.5 to 8 rounders.

Between them top scorer Emily Lenton and captain Annie Kean have notched up about 30 rounders already this season.

The skipper said: “With a further ten games left to play, the team’s hope of being promoted could be a realistic one.”

The Lutterworth team’s next home game is on Tuesday.
