TEAM Symitry IT North, with rider Shaun Horsman, are preparing for a renewed assault on the 2010 British 125GP Championship.
Their challenge is set to be launched at Brands Hatch over the Easter weekend.
The Harborough-based team will benefit from the continued support of Steven Holbrough, who owns the IT business that is situated in High Street.
Holbrough has been the main sponsor for the team's young and promising rider Horsman for the past two seasons and has pledged his support for the coming racing season too.
Horsman, who will be 19 in March, began 2009 in fine style with a third place in the opening round of the British 125cc championship at Brands Hatch but was then hindered by a run of bad luck with engine problems which saw him score points in only six of the 12 rounds, robbing him of a surefire top five end to the season.
The team are currently preparing the Honda 125cc machine for pre-season testing at Mallory and Oulton Park, and with the gremlins from last year placed firmly behind them they are hoping for bigger and better things for the new campaign.
"After the winter break, Horsman is eager to get back on the bike and get some testing under his belt," said Holbrough.
"The lad shows promise and once we have the bike running smoothly he is capable of running at the front of the field challenging for race wins."
The 12-round British Championship runs throughout the season at high-profile circuits across the UK, ending at Oulton Park in October.
Race dates are:
Round 1 – Brands Hatch, April 5; Rd 2 – April 18, Thruxton; Rd 3 – Oulton Park, May 3; Rd 4 – Cadwell Park, May 23; Rd 5 – Mallory Park, June 27; Rd 6 – Knockhill, July 4; Rd 7 – Snetterton, July 18; Rd 9 – Cadwell Park, August 30; Rd 10 – Croft, September 12; Rd 11 – Silverstone, September 26; Rd 12 – Oulton Park, October 10.
