Super Sabre successes for Sam and Dan

GREAT Glen's Sam Brightman has won the under-16 British Sabre Fencing Championship.
Based on results from a series of UK events and international competitions in Hungary, Germany, Spain and France, he has also earned a place in Great Britain's cadet squad for the European sabre championships in Serbia next month.
With another year left in the cadet age group, the teenager's target is to qualify for the world championships in Sicily in April, 2008.
Clubmate Dan Balderson of East Farndon is also reaping the rewards for an excellent sabre season.
The 17-year-old has qualified to compete in the cadet world championships in Turkey in April.
And he has also qualified for the European Championships in Serbia.
