BOROUGH'S under-7s, playing in their inaugural season, celebrated their best performance to date with this win in the Weetabix Youth League.

In a tense but action-packed game, Borough took an early lead with a fine strike from Sam McAllister.

Strong defending from Henry Bellamy and tidy goalkeeping by Will Baxter left Corby with few chances.

With Dan Priestley and Thomas Stockley continuing to make good runs from midfield in the second period, it wasn't long before McAllister claimed his second goal to seal the result.

Despite Corby making great efforts to claw their way back, George Christison, Joseph Ward-Langham and Thomas Collins-Clarke, with Louie Fisher in goal, maintained the fortress-like defence. Stalwart all-rounder Shea Harley and new recruit Roger Foulke provided useful support throughout.
