Porter carries off cup

TOMMY Porter has won the Moss Cup at Lutterworth GC after his 89-21-68 return. But he won only after a three-way tie on this mark.
Michael Tebbutt (20) was second, with Allan Simmonds (6) third.

Ian Littleton (82-13-69) topped division one with Andrew Edwards (76-6-70) second, after a countback on this score.

James Lindley (24) headed division two after carding 95 for his
71 net, with Fred Milsom (93-19-74) second on local rule.

Philip Meakin was round in 73 in winning the scratch award, and Sam Skerratt, with his 79-9-70, clinched the junior member’s prize.

*Rod Dyson carded 79-12-67 in winning Lutterworth GC’s John Tew Trophy.

There was a tie on 68 net with Ronald Gould (16) runner-up from Peter Carroll (10) third, resolved on the last three holes.

Stephen Willcox (20) finished fourth after a tie with Andrew Rushton (10) fifth on 69 net, and Neil Campbell (87-17-70) was sixth.

Michael Fleming (87-15-72) won the Seniors Centenary Trophy at the club with Dean Fisher (13) second and Sid Ash third, after a tie on 74 net.

Peter Cornish and Jane Lewis won the Albert Croft Rose Bowls after a tie on 69 net, with runners-up Chris Shaw and Sandra Morris.

Andrew Rushton and Helen Dowling 69.5 net were third.
