DAINITE Bowls Club of Harborough are celebrating 50 years of bowling and to mark the occasion a Golden Jubilee Gala Day was held at the town's Conservative Club Green.
The Dainite members played against invited guests from opposing clubs including Conservative Club, Corby Grampian, Corby Woodsend, Harborough Town, Hart of Fleckney, Oadby and Welland Park.

The match was followed by a celebratory meal, and past members of Dainite also joined in the celebrations.

The guest of honour was Philip Woodbridge, a senior executive member of Harboro Rubber Company, who was accompanied by his wife Delia.

Following the meal, speeches and presentations of prizes to the winning rinks were the order of the day.

The Dainite players were proudly wearing their new bowling sports shirts, which were donated and sponsored by Harboro Rubber Company.
