MEDBOURNE under-13s secured their place in a county cup final with an unlikely win over Narborough – having struggled to 101 for 9 from their 20 overs (T Williams 21, Sam Noble 14, H Sedgewick 14 not out).
Narborough progressed to 79 without loss but their scoring rate was restricted and they needed 23 off 18 balls. Excellent bowling by E Farmer (3 wickets for 6) and H Lovell (1 for 8) saw the innings close on 92 for 4, giving Medbourne victory by nine runs.

Medbourne under-15s entertained Countesthorpe B, who chose to bat first, scoring 105 for 8 off 20 overs. George Norton piled on the pressure by taking three wickets in his second over.

Medbourne reached their target in 17.3. Leading scores were by Dan Clarke (50 retired) and Fergus Clarke (21 not out). Adam Dalby hit the decisive 4 not out.

Medbourne under-11s won a ‘hardball’ fixture at Stoughton and Thurnby.

Sam Noble (26) and Harry Clarke (18) helped the visitors set a target of 302 for Narborough, who were always behind the required rate and ended on 205 for 11 wickets (Tristan Hubbard 8 for 2).
