MEDBOURNE'S Junior Experimental team played Leicester City at the Leicester Banks ground and continued their run of excellent performances.
Batting first, the opening pair of Joel Nance (12) and Hamish Meldrum (10) got them off to an excellent start and with further contributions from Adam Dalby (14), Edward Farmer (22), Munro Davis (10) and Harry Lovell (21) they reached a net score of 112 from their 16 overs.

The Leicester City openers responded well, scoring 21 in the first four overs, but Medbourne upped their game and with some excellent fielding, notably by Lovell, run-outs by Davis, Harry Clark, Lovell and a direct hit by Dalby, Leicester fell well behind the required rate.

Some excellent bowling, with wickets for Farmer (two), Clarke and Henry Sedgewick (four) meant that Medbourne had taken 11 wickets, reducing Leicester's score to a net five runs and giving the villagers a win by 107.
