THE CARIBBEAN came to Brixworth for a week as children at the village primary school enjoyed a week of activities inspired by the region.
Brixworth Primary School pupils learned Caribbean dance, took part in steel drum workshops, and enjoyed food-tasting, storytelling and arts activities.

The week culminated in a Caribbean Carnival on the Friday, which saw pupils dress in colourful costume and wear hats they had designed specially for the day.

The activities were held as part of the school’s annual arts week, which sees pupils learn about different cultures and countries using art.
