A trophy cabinet designed by a 10-year-old girl is attracting attention as much for its design as for its coveted contents.
Sophie Duncan, of Ullesthorpe Primary School, took part in a competition to design a cabinet for the school’s growing trophy collection. She designed it in the shape of an open book, the symbol of the school. Although she had no expectation of seeing her cabinet made, parent and carpenter Mark Leary put himself forward to design the cabinet.
Mr Leary worked for two months to create Sophie’s dream design.
