A special service will take place at Naseby’s All Saints Church this weekend to mark the re-opening of the historic building.

The fund to repair All Saints Church Naseby smashed its £100,000 target in only 18 months, allowing major deterioration and cracks to the building to be repaired.

The new priest in charge Angela Hughes will be joined by the Bishop of Brixworth for the special celebratory service on Sunday at 10am.

Chris Davies, chairman of the Naseby Church Restoration Fund committee, said: “We arranged a variety of fundraising events which have all been great fun.

“It has been fantastic to see people of all ages in the village enjoying themselves, while at the same time providing the funds required to repair the church.

“I would like to thank everyone who helped in any way. Raising this money is an enormous achievement, which has only been possible by the village community coming together.

“I would particularly like to thank Paul Kelly and Avis Aldrich who worked so hard to obtain several grants from different bodies.

“We hope lots of people will join us on Sunday to celebrate the re-opening of our beautiful church.”
