A man has been handed a community order and ordered to pay compensation for his part in stealing lead off the roof of Brooke House College in Market Harborough.
Daniel Greensmith, who was arrested after failing to turn up at court last week, admitted theft after £2,000 worth of damage was caused to the building on Leicester Road.
Police caught him and Paul Parkes, who has already been sentenced,red handed removing lead in the early hours of June 30.
The 34 year old, of no fixed abode, was given a one year community order at Leicester Magistrates Court. He was also fined £50 and ordered to pay £85 compensation to the College.
