Don’t allow homes to be built on flood plains

Have your say

Just answer me this. When there is the truly awful and life-destroying flooding in all corners of England every year now that creates unprecedented havoc and misery, how can planning permission to build hundreds and hundreds of homes on a designated flood plain ever be justified?

The answer is, quite simply, it cannot.

The whole decision smacks of a stitch up.

Tell me I’m wrong and I’ll show you hundreds and hundreds of homes that have been flooded because they have been built on flood-plains; homes which, by the way, are now completely uninsurable.

The whole sorry saga is a total disgrace and those responsible for it should be thoroughly ashamed and must be publicly held to account.

It cannot be right.
