Clear up grey areas over recycling

IT is excellent that we are as of next week going to be able to recycle far more of our rubbish and like many other readers I have begun sorting through all the different materials.

Whilst I am delighted that it has left a far smaller amount of non-recyclable products for the black bin, there are some ‘grey areas’ which our local supermarkets may be able to clear up.

Several of the polythene type bags which hold fruit and vegetables say ‘recyclable with carrier bags at larger stores’. I wonder if the local supermarkets such as Sainsbury’s and the Co-operative could tell us if they do recycle these or where the larger stores are or if the council could confirm if these can be put in the recyclable bin?
