Members are encouraging students and school pupils to come to the next meeting of the Royal British Legion, which will feature an informative talk on World War One.

The next meeting of the Legion will be on Wednesday at the Conservative Club, in Fairfield Road, Harborough at 8.15pm.

Hugo Clarke, of the London based Curzon Institute will be giving a talk and will be speaking about the involvement of Commonwealth armed forces during World War One and some of the Victorian Crosses that they were awarded.

John Morley, who is chairman of the Harborough branch of the Royal British Legion, said: “The talk, which is free and is open to everyone who would like to attend, especially students who may be studying this period of European history.”
