The owner of a Harborough company is entering the boxing ring to raise money for a deserving cause.
James Longley, managing director of Utility Bidder in Northampton Road, will be competing in the Ultra White Collar Boxing event along with eight other boxers who will all be raising funds for charity.
Earlier this year the 36-year-old took part in a training programme that culminated in a boxing challenge.
He said: “Before my first fight I was very nervous – particularly in the week leading up to it. I kept wondering why I had put myself in this position.”
But after winning his bout, James was keen to return to the ring.
The event takes place at Club Republic in Leicester between 4p and 9pm next Sunday, August 25.
James is hoping to raise about £3,000 for Cancer Research UK.
The fighters have been participating in an intensive eight-week training programme to get them in shape before they fight for three two-minute rounds.
Their opponents will be announced at a weigh-in this Saturday.

He will be holding a raffle on the night to raise money.
