Watch Network Rail engineers put a new railway bridge into position in Kibworth in this time-lapse video shot by Mail photographer Andrew Carpenter.
It is the second of two videos shot by Andy showing the construction project.
A previous video showed the old bridge being dismantled.
The work is part of a £70 million project which the firm says will reduce journey times on the Midland Mainline between Sheffield and London.
The new bridges will allow extra headroom for tilting trains – which means they are able to travel at higher speeds.
The project will also allow Network Rail to bring long-term electrification plans for the Midland Mainline to fruition.
