A supplier to farms and firms in the agricultural sector helped teach children about the countryside by taking lambs into school.

Children at Farndon Fields Primary got the chance to meet the cute creatures last Thursday thanks to agricultural supplier H & C Pearce.

Children asked H & C Pearce staff questions about the lambs and farming in general.

Meg Peberdy, am agricultural specialist at the company, said: “The visit went really well.

“They didn’t want me to take the lambs away.

“The children asked some good questions about what the lambs eat and how people can tell whose lamb is whose.”

Victoria Thorpe, a foundation stage leader at the school, said: “It was a fantastic day.

“They were allowed to bottle feed the lambs.

“They always love practical activities.”
