The Pride in Harborough Awards 2014 presentation evening is on Thursday, April 10

The deadline is fast approaching to nominate someone for our sixth annual Pride in Harborough Awards.

The awards aim to thank and praise the many selfless people in the Harborough district who do tremendous work for the community.

But time in running out to get your nominations in - the deadline is NEXT FRIDAY, MARCH 14.

The gala presentation evening is taking place on Thursday, April 10, at Harborough’s Three Swans Hotel where the award winners will be announced.

The Mail is again grateful to receive the support of Market Harborough Building Society who are the event’s main sponsors.

There are 11 categories in which to nominate people. They are:

*Young Achiever.

*Raising the Profile of the Town - sponsored by The Angel Hotel.

*Inspire a Generation – sponsored by The Three Swans Hotel

*Fundraiser of the Year - sponsored by Nomad

*Service with a Smile - sponsored by Adams & Jones.

*Excellence in Education - sponsored by Stanair

*Friendly Neighbour - sponsored by Seven Locks Housing

*Care in the Community - sponsored by Waitrose

*Outstanding Example of Bravery.

*Unsung Hero - sponsored by CDS Global and,

*Community Investment Award - sponsored by Spire Homes

The trophies are being sponsored by Regent Street Wrought Iron Works of Kettering.

Mail deputy editor Alex Blackwell, who will be presenting the awards night, said: “The awards are aimed at recognising and celebrating the outstanding achievements of individuals and groups who we know work so hard to make the Harborough district a special place to live and work.”

A panel of judges will select the winners.

HOW TO NOMINATE:

There are lots of ways to put someone forward for an award:

*Fill in the half-page nomination form in the Mail each week.

*Write in no more than 500 words about the person or group you wish to nominate, making sure to include contact details. If possible, please include a photograph of the person or group.
