The Highways Agency is advising road users of a series of overnight closures on the M1 and A14 near Catthorpe for resurfacing from this Monday.
The work will take place Mondays to Saturdays from 8pm to 6am and be carried out in two phases.
The first phase runs from this Monday to Saturday, November 9 and involves a full closure of the M1 southbound between junctions 20 and 19, lane closures from junctions 19 to 18 and a full closure of the A14 eastbound between the M1 and junction 1.
Traffic will be diverted from the M1 junction 20 to the A4303 and the A5 to rejoin the M1 at junction 18.
Vehicles wanting to use the eastbound A14 will be diverted to M1 junction 15 and the A45 to rejoin the A14 at junction 13.
Traffic wanting to get to Kettering will be diverted from the A45 on to the A43 to rejoin the A14 at junction 8.
The second phase starts on Monday, November 11 until Friday, December 6 and requires a full closure of the A14 westbound from junction 2 to the M1.
Project manager Mark Braithwaite said: “Completing this work ahead of the M1 junction 19 Catthorpe interchange improvement which starts in early 2014 means that scheme will require less than 25 night-time closures over its three year construction period.”
