Do you have something Harborough-related that you want to get off your chest or are you organising an event in the district - well there’s a chance to discuss anything Harborough-based TONIGHT during #harboroughhour on Twitter between 8pm and 9pm.
It will be the ninth instalment of the initiative tonight, which gives Twitter users an opportunity to air their views on any #Harborough subjects they like or to give their businesses and events a plug.
There is a captive audience of #Harborough folk eager to hear about local topics.
Just some of the subjects discussed last week included whether it was too early to be thinking about Christmas, Harborough woman Frances Quinn’s appearance on the Great British Bake Off, the possible revival of Arts Fresco for the town, social media awards, a business expo taking place in town on October 17 and indie music.
By the hour’s end, 100 original tweets had been sent, 63 ‘@’ messages, 64 re-tweets, 227 total interactions and a reach of 62,781 people meaning it was the busiest #harboroughhour since being launched on July 3.
Mail deputy editor Alex Blackwell will again be monitoring the Mail Twitter account during the hour, with his finger poised over the retweet button and aiming to keep the conversation flowing.
He said: “The last few weeks have been particularly lively and we’re hoping for more of the same tonight. I’ve got some intriguing new stats about car parking fees which I’ll be seeking some views on later.”
