Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted ram-raid at a Harborough district shop.

Thieves drove into the metal shutters at the Co-op store in Main Street, Great Glen, earlier this week but made off empty handed.

Police are treating it as an attempted burglary.

It happened sometime between 10.05pm on Sunday and 6.30am on Monday.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police 1010 number of Crimestoppers, which is free and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
