Free outdoor summer activities for all the family are being planned for Harborough and Lutterworth.

The drop-in Playing Out sessions, being run by Harborough District Council, started in Harborough’s Welland Park on Tuesday and in Lutterworth at the Coventry Road recreation ground yesterday (Thursday).

They will be continuing for the next six weeks between 2pm and 4pm on Tuesdays.

The sessions are aimed at toddlers and juniors and there will be separate groups for 2 to 4 years, 5 to 7 years and 8 to 12 years, each being led by qualified coaches in (non-competitive) sporty play.

Parent, grandparents guardians and older siblings are welcome to join in.

There will also be picnic mats provided for parents with young babies.

It is all free and there is no need to book.
