A woman has fulfilled a lifelong ambition of setting up her own business which has been inspired by an encounter with a rescue dog.
Grr’s 2 Purr’s is a dog grooming and cat and dog boutique business.
It is offering high-quality leashes and collars, as well as home-made treats and accessories for pets.
The business is based at the Langton Farm Shop off the Melton Road on the outskirts of Harborough.
Frances Cheshire, of Grr’s 2 Purr’s , said: “After 10 years of working in retail, I was given an opportunity to fulfil my lifelong ambition to run my own business with my partner Andre Brewster.
“Our own rescue dog, border collie cross Brindle, has been the inspiration behind Grr’s 2 Purr’s.
“Since he came into our lives and our hearts, we have always wanted the very best for him.
“Whether that is a bowl for his food, a coat to keep him warm and dry or a new toy that will last him more than five minutes.
“Here at Grr’s 2 Purr’s we are promoting a lifestyle, offering only the highest quality collars and leashes, home-made treats and accessories for your much-loved Grr or Purr.”
It offers services and products that include dog grooming, dog and cat accessories, food and treats, healthcare and luxuries for dogs and cats.The shop stocks brands such as Bobby, Hamish Macbeth, House of Paws and more.
It is open Mondays to Saturdays from 9am to 5pm and on Sundays from 10am to 4pm.
The grand opening weekend takes place on February 8 and 9.
As an opening launch offer Grr’s and Purr’s will be offering 10 per cent off all products at the opening weekend and 10 per cent off grooming in February.
