Money and tablets were stolen during an overnight break-in at Marlow House in Desborough this week.
The community day care centre, in Gold Street, was broken into between 5pm on Wednesday, June 4 and 8.10am on Thursday, June 5.
The offender or offenders raided tills and also took money from charity collection pots after gaining access by scaling a fence then climbing in through a window.
A quantity of tablets of the drug diazepam were also stolen. A Northamptonshire Police spokesman has warned people not to buy or take any of the tablets.
Marlow House provides a number of services to older and less able people in Desborough, Rothwell and the surrounding area.
