Marlow House provides the Meals on Wheels service for much of north Northamptonshire

 

Money and tablets were stolen during an overnight break-in at Marlow House in Desborough this week.

The community day care centre, in Gold Street, was broken into between 5pm on Wednesday, June 4 and 8.10am on Thursday, June 5.

The offender or offenders raided tills and also took money from charity collection pots after gaining access by scaling a fence then climbing in through a window.

A quantity of tablets of the drug diazepam were also stolen. A Northamptonshire Police spokesman has warned people not to buy or take any of the tablets.

Marlow House provides a number of services to older and less able people in Desborough, Rothwell and the surrounding area.

Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
