Three teenagers have been charged with robbing a Portsmouth betting shop

The emergency services were called out to Harborough this morning (Tuesday) after a man was knocked off his bicycle during a collision with a car.

Police and the ambulance service were called to Leicester Road in town at about 7.30am.

The cyclist is Harborough man Craig Alden (25) who was on his way to work.

A spokesman for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 07.24am to Leicester Road involving a teenager who had been knocked from their bike.

“Our Fast Response Vehicle was first on scene to treat the patient followed by a double-crewed ambulance who took the patient to Coventry and Walsgrave Hospital.”

Initial reports from East Midlands Ambulance Service said that the man was a teenager.

Mr Alden suffered a fractured hip and cuts and grazes.
