Hundreds of properties have been left without power this afternoon (Friday) after a cable fault.
The power cut has affected premises in the Alvington Way area of Market Harborough.
Resident Matthew Hickman said on Twiiter: “Had no problem with electric supply until @wpduk started [messing] about last night. Now nothing! #Harborough.”
Western Power Distribution said the power cut has been caused by an underground cabling fault and added: “Our engineers are repairing. We apologise and aim to restore supply by 5pm.”
